About the Role
We are seeking a data Engineer to join our team.
Your Responsibilities
Design and Implementation of Data Pipelines:
- Design and implement data pipelines to collect, transform, and integrate data from various sources (databases, files, APIs, etc.).
- Develop integration solutions for both cloud and on-premise platforms, ensuring smooth data flows.
- Build and maintain database management systems and data warehouses for efficient data storage and organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper application of business rules and regulatory compliance during data collection and transformation.
- Identify and define data needs, while enhancing the data foundation as part of data projects.
Data Quality and System Maintenance:
- Ensure data integrity, security, and quality by implementing necessary controls and processes.
- Optimize the performance of data systems to meet real-time analysis and reporting needs.
- Document processes, methods, and results to facilitate knowledge transfer and system replication by others.
- Develop and maintain incident recovery plans to ensure continuous data availability.
- Participate in evaluating and adopting new technologies and tools related to data engineering.
Your Qualifications
- Engineering, business degree, or equivalent with over 3 years of experience in similar data engineering projects.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira and a strong understanding of Scrum methodology.
- Mastery of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar.
- Practical experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark for managing large datasets and complex transformations.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for implementing and deploying data solutions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to document and share information effectively.
